Padvat · Your information & your choices

Privacy Policy

1. Who we are & how to contact us

Padvat is a trading name of Chris Plus Co, registration 2026/206974/07, at 2 Saltus Street, Galloway, Irene, Pretoria, South Africa. This business is responsible for deciding how information collected through this website is used.

Privacy contact: Chris
Email chris@padvat.co.za for access, correction, deletion, consent or other privacy questions. Chris also handles business listing enquiries.

2. What we collect & why

We collect form details directly from you. If an authorised business representative supplies another contact person’s details, the source is that representative. They must have permission to share those details and give the contact person this policy.

Providing information is voluntary; no law requires you to join these lists. Fields marked as required are needed to process that particular request. If you leave them out, the form will not submit, but you can still browse or email us.

We rely on your consent for requested launch emails and business follow-up. Where applicable, responding to your enquiry also involves steps you ask us to take before a possible agreement. Necessary security, request-handling and limited compliance records are processed for legitimate operational interests or legal obligations, subject to your rights under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Accepting the terms is not permission for unrelated marketing.

3. Email choices

The launch signup asks for a separate, unticked email permission. Confirm the request through the confirmation email before joining the launch list. We do not use this permission to enrol you in a general newsletter.

Business interest gives us permission to respond about your venue and the listing launch. It does not add you to the consumer launch list or unrelated product marketing.

Use the unsubscribe link in launch emails, reply to a business follow-up, or email Chris to withdraw permission. We will stop the relevant optional contact. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful, and we may keep a minimal record of your choice so we do not contact you again by mistake.

Email delivery and response times can depend on your provider. If you do not receive a confirmation, check your spam folder or contact us.

4. Service providers & sharing

The website is configured for Vercel hosting, MailerLite for the consumer launch list, and Padvat’s email hosting/delivery provider for business enquiries and correspondence. These services process the details needed to perform those tasks. Authorised Padvat team members may access information when needed for their work; business form submissions are addressed to Chris only.

We require providers acting on our instructions to handle personal information confidentially and with appropriate security. A provider may also process limited service/security data under its own legal responsibilities. Information about the services is available in MailerLite’s privacy policy and Vercel’s privacy policy. Contact Chris for information about the email provider used for your enquiry.

We do not give the consumer email list to venues or sell or rent it. We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers under confidentiality, or to authorities where legally required or otherwise lawfully necessary to protect rights or investigate abuse. An interest form does not authorise us to publish your personal contact details as a venue listing.

5. Processing outside South Africa

Vercel, MailerLite and their service providers may process information outside South Africa. Protections and government access rules can differ between countries. MailerLite publishes its processing arrangements and locations in its Data Processing Addendum; Vercel publishes its arrangements in its Data Processing Addendum.

Before transferring information internationally, we must ensure that a lawful POPIA transfer mechanism applies, such as a binding agreement providing an adequate level of protection, including for onward transfers. Merely accepting this policy is not blanket consent to international transfers. You can ask Chris about the relevant locations and safeguards for your information.

6. Cookies, location & tracking

This landing website has no advertising pixels, optional analytics tools or behaviour profiling built into it. Images and Poppins fonts are served with the website. Hosting/security services may use technical storage or request records needed to operate and protect the service.

We do not request your precise GPS location on this site. The area and city in the business form are information you type in. The app screens are illustrations, not a live location service.

MailerLite can provide email-open and link-click tracking, depending on account and campaign settings. We do not need that tracking to send a launch notification; if enabled, it must be explained before use and any required permission obtained. Links to other websites are governed by those websites’ own policies.

7. How long we keep information

We keep identifiable information only as long as it is reasonably needed for the stated purpose or a lawful retention requirement:

Ask Chris about the retention period that applies to your record or to request deletion. Where we must keep some information, we will explain the reason and limit its use.

8. Security & incidents

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and risks, including restricted access, protected service credentials and secure connections for the live site. No internet service can promise absolute security.

If we discover a security compromise affecting personal information, we will investigate, take reasonable corrective steps and notify the Information Regulator and affected people as required by POPIA, as soon as reasonably possible, subject to lawful exceptions or delays. Report a suspected problem to Chris.

9. Children’s information

The launch and business forms are intended for people aged 18 or older. Their age declaration is not identity or age verification. We do not request children’s details, and showing family activities in a mockup is not an invitation for a child to join the list.

If you believe a child has supplied information, contact Chris so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate. Any future app features involving children’s information will require their own lawful safeguards before use.

10. Your rights & complaints

Subject to POPIA’s conditions and lawful exceptions, you can ask to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, delete information we should no longer hold, object to qualifying processing, withdraw consent, or restrict processing where the law provides for it.

Email chris@padvat.co.za with enough detail to identify your request. We may need proportionate proof of identity or authority before disclosing or changing a record. We will explain any applicable lawful refusal or prescribed charge before proceeding; withdrawing marketing consent does not carry a fee.

You can complain directly to South Africa’s Information Regulator through its complaints portal. You do not have to complain to us first. The Regulator’s website provides current contact details.

For requests for company records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), contact Chris. This Privacy Policy does not replace the company’s PAIA manual or the applicable statutory request process.

11. Changes & future app features

The future app may introduce accounts, saved venues, location permissions and other features. This policy does not claim that those features operate on the landing website. We will explain their processing before collecting information for them.

We will date updates here and bring material changes to your attention where appropriate. A policy update alone does not give us permission to use your information for unrelated marketing. See the Website Terms of Use for the terms of the prelaunch service.
